Job summary

Primary Integrated Community Services Ltd is looking for a receptionist to join our team. Experience is preferred but training will be given, and the successful candidate will help maintain a high level of quality reception service to visitors and staff, ideally bringing NHS experience to the practice.

You will handle patient scheduling, respond to requests, signpost to appropriate services, and perform clerical duties while maintaining a tidy, welcoming reception area.

Qualifications

• Experience in reception or NHS environment is preferred but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, professional manner.
• Proficient with computer systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Manage the practice appointment system and respond to patient requests.
• Explain arrangements to new patients and signpost to other services as needed.
• Maintain reception area, handle messages, and support clerical tasks.
• Process repeat prescriptions and ensure accurate data entry.
