Job summary

Beech House Surgery is seeking a proactive Medical Receptionist to join our busy GP practice. You will be the first point of contact for patients, contractors and visitors, providing reception and administrative support with professionalism and warmth.

You will handle telephone, face-to-face and electronic enquiries, manage appointments and assist patients to access our services, while adhering to our policies and procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Reception duties: answer phones, greet visitors and handle enquiries
• Book/edit/cancel appointments and manage home visits
• Register new patients and update patient details accurately
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with Data Protection Act and Caldicott guidance
• General administration: filing, mail distribution, data entry and photocopying
• Support the practice team and adapt to varying workload
