Job summary

Vets Now is recruiting a Friday Veterinary Receptionist for our Doncaster clinic. This role involves welcoming clients, handling calls, scheduling appointments and processing payments in an emergency care setting.

You will be the first friendly face in critical moments, coordinating with veterinary staff and providing clear information to clients. The position is Fridays 19:00–23:00 with additional bank holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a receptionist in a clinical setting is desirable.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Ability to manage appointments and payments accurately.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for clients during emergencies.
• Manage clinic administration and update veterinary staff.
• Provide friendly client support and act as liaison to team.

Key Responsibilities

• First point of contact:
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clients during emergency situations, whether through calls or in person visits. Including greeting all clients, answering calls, and booking appointments as well as handling financial transactions.
• Administration:
  • Manage administrative duties in clinic accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
  • Providing updates to veterinary staff about patients enroute or clients requiring assistance.
• Client Support:
  • Be a friendly and reassuring presence, offering support and information when clients need it most.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and veterinary professionals.

Working pattern

Every Friday from 19:00 to 23:00
