Vets Now Cheltenham is seeking a Part Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our emergency pet care team. You will be the first point of contact for clients, handling calls, bookings and cash transactions with care and professionalism.

In this role you will support administration, update veterinary staff on patient status, and act as a friendly liaison between clients and clinicians. The position offers flexible evenings and weekends with excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary reception or customer-facing roles.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to handle cash and appointments.

Role Overview

• First point of contact:
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clients during emergency situations, whether through calls or in person visits. Including greeting all clients, answering calls, and booking appointments as well as handling financial transactions.
• Administration:
  • Manage administrative duties in clinic accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
  • Providing updates to veterinary staff about patients enroute or clients requiring assistance.
• Client Support:
  • Be a friendly and reassuring presence, offering support and information when clients need it most.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and veterinary professionals.

Working pattern

Every Monday, Friday and Sunday from 19:00 to 23:00

Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.
