Job summary

Vets Now Belfast is seeking a Weekend Veterinary Receptionist to serve as the friendly first point of contact for clients in emergency settings, greet visitors, take calls, book appointments and manage payments. You will support the clinical team with scheduling and updates on patients en route.

This weekend role offers Saturday and Sunday shifts with a rate of £13.45 per hour plus a range of benefits and staff perks, including health plans, CPD support, and staff discounts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as initial point of contact for clients during emergencies, greeting clients, answering calls, booking appointments and handling transactions.
• Manage administrative duties in clinic accurately and provide updates to veterinary staff about patients enroute or clients requiring assistance.
• Be a friendly and reassuring presence, offering support and information when clients need it and acting as a liaison between clients and veterinary professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• First point of contact:
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clients during emergency situations, whether through calls or in person visits. Including greeting all clients, answering calls, and booking appointments as well as handling financial transactions.
• Administration:
  • Manage administrative duties in clinic accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
  • Providing updates to veterinary staff about patients enroute or clients requiring assistance.
• Client Support:
  • Be a friendly and reassuring presence, offering support and information when clients need it most.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and veterinary professionals.

Working pattern

Week 1: Saturday from 15:00 to 21:00 and Sunday from 09:00 to 19:00

Week 2: Off

Week 3: Saturday from 15:00 to 21:00 and Sunday from 09:00 to 19:00

Week 4: Off
