A local medical practice in Grimsby seeks a motivated Receptionist/Administrator. The role involves handling appointments, general inquiries, and providing excellent service to patients and medical staff. Part-time or full time role would be considered for the right applicant.
Dr Sinha's Surgery is based within Cromwell Primary Care Centre and at Laceby Village Surgery. We are looking for a team member to ensure that the reception and administrative areas of the practice run smoothly and provide the highest achievable levels of service and care to both patients and other members of the practice team, including Doctors and Nurses.
Key Responsibilities:Telephone Duties: Making appointments, giving out results, general enquiries, arranging home visits, contacting other providers, handling incoming mail.General Reception Duties: Greeting and directing patients, greeting and directing visitors, making appointments, responding to the needs of both Doctors and Nurses during surgery. Health & Safety awareness (including handling samples)Fire Warden Duties as and when necessary. Inputting and extracting information from the practice computer systemGeneral housekeeping e.g. keeping the waiting areas and reception tidy. Mailing Post on a daily basis. Open and close up the building as required.Filing/Scanning/Read coding: Scanning letters in patients records on a daily basis and adding the appropriate read codes.Summarising full patient records on receipt from the health authority. Filing manual records when necessary and pulling manual records when necessary from Records Archive Room.Repeat Prescriptions: Dealing with requests for repeat prescriptions, raising prescriptions as per the practice protocols and dealing with any queries.General Administration Duties: Completing and sending referral letters and proformas, actioning SystmOne tasks on a daily basis, handling medical/insurance reports. Registering new patients and managing patient deductions and sending of notes via the courier.
Our PMS practice has a list size of approximately 4600 patients and we work across 2 sites, the purpose built Cromwell Primary Care Centre in Grimsby and also having a branch surgery in Laceby Village, just a couple of miles outside of Grimsby.
