Receptionist / Administrator

Location: St Michael's Clinic, St Michael's St, Shrewsbury SY1 2HE

Contract Type: Permanent - Part Time

Hours: 24 hours per week, working from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday, Tuesday and Friday (Saturday cover will be required)

Closing Date: Sunday 1st February 2026

The Dermatology Partnership is a growing group of private clinics, who are trusted experts in dermatology and are now part of Bupa Health Services. As Receptionist, you are responsible for supporting the overall Reception function within the Clinic. You will ensure that patients receive a friendly, efficient and professional service. You are a crucial part of the team looking after the day-to-day running of the clinic. You will work in conjunction with The Dermatology Partnership, Central Bookings and Central Admin Team.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Check in patients, manage appointments (bookings, follow-ups, cancellations), and ensure a smooth patient journey.
  • Post letters, handle documentation, audit trails, and consultant referral/charge sheets accurately.
  • Assist with doctors’ and nurses’ administrative needs and responding to queries.
  • Understand self-funding/insured patient processes, take payments/deposits, process refunds, and liaise with the bookings team.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures for all tasks, including internal referrals, patient documentation, and end-of-day responsibilities.

  • Experience of working in a high level customer face to face customer service environment is essential.
