Job summary

Ragdale Hall Spa in Melton Mowbray is seeking a friendly Receptionist to welcome guests, check them in, and support a smooth, memorable visit in a calm, welcoming environment. The role offers full training and a part-time schedule with weekend rotation.

You will use the hotel system, balance takings, handle guest queries with empathy, and contribute to a positive team. GCSE Maths and English are essential, and strong communication helps you tailor service to every guest.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
• GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English are essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to different situations and guests.
• A friendly, professional, and approachable manner, with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive, supportive environment.

• Accurately enter billing charges, monitor payments, and ensure that daily takings are balanced.
• Handle guest queries with professionalism and empathy, ensuring requests are swiftly addressed to guarantee satisfaction.
• Produce accurate guest accounts upon check-out, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free departure.
• Adapt your communication style to suit a variety of guest needs, listening actively and resolving issues promptly to provide a personalised experience.

Our stunning reception area is a beautiful, inviting place with stunning views and a stately-home feel interior. Its calm and relaxed atmosphere provides both our guests and employees the warmest welcome, with our team greeting guests and checking them in with a smile.

Main Duties (Full Training Provided)

Hours of Work

• 8hrs per week, either 8.30-5 or 10.30-7
• Weekend role alternating between a Saturday one week then Sunday the next
