Job summary

Ragdale Hall Spa in Melton Mowbray is seeking a friendly Receptionist to welcome guests, check them in, and support a smooth, memorable visit in a calm, welcoming environment. The role offers full training and a part-time schedule with weekend rotation.

You will use the hotel system, balance takings, handle guest queries with empathy, and contribute to a positive team. GCSE Maths and English are essential, and strong communication helps you tailor service to every guest.

Qualifications

Experience in a customer-facing role is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English are essential.
Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to different situations and guests.
A friendly, professional, and approachable manner, with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome, making them feel valued from the moment they arrive.
Use our computerised hotel system to efficiently process guest details, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Accurately enter billing charges, monitor payments, and ensure that daily takings are balanced.
Handle guest queries with professionalism and empathy, ensuring requests are swiftly addressed to guarantee satisfaction.
Produce accurate guest accounts upon check-out, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free departure.
Adapt your communication style to suit a variety of guest needs, listening actively and resolving issues promptly to provide a personalised experience.
