Job summary

Champneys Mottram Hall is seeking a Front of House Receptionist for a full-time role. You will deliver a warm, professional welcome, manage check-ins/outs, payments and guest enquiries, and work closely with housekeeping to support guest satisfaction at one of the UK’s iconic health spa brands.

You’ll be a proactive ambassador, ensuring a seamless guest journey and adherence to health & safety standards while contributing to the resort’s continued guest experience excellence.

Qualifications

• Natural people person with a warm, professional approach.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage payments accurately.
• Calm and solutions-focused when handling guest feedback or challenges.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
• Previous reception or hospitality experience is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, professional welcome and efficient check-in experience.
• Manage guest check-outs, payments, accounts and robe controls.
• Handle guest enquiries, resolve concerns and escalate where appropriate.
• Administer payments and end-of-day procedures in line with guidelines.
• Prepare arrivals for future dates to ensure a seamless guest journey.
• Operate the switchboard and transfer calls professionally.
• Liaise with Housekeeping and other departments to support guest satisfaction.
• Support continuous improvement of reception performance and profitability.
• Complete administrative duties and attend training as required.
• Work in line with Champneys’ policies, procedures and safety standards.

As a Front of House Receptionist, you’ll play a pivotal role in the day to day running of reception, delivering outstanding service to every guest.

You’ll ensure check ins and check outs run smoothly, enquiries are handled professionally, and guest satisfaction remains at the heart of everything you do.

You’ll be a knowledgeable ambassador for the resort, confident in answering questions about the property, facilities and local area, and proactive in resolving issues to ensure every stay is memorable.
