Job summary

Ragdale Hall Spa in Melton Mowbray is seeking a Café Lounge Assistant to join the Verandah Bar and Garden Room. You’ll welcome guests, take orders, serve drinks and meals, and ensure a warm, professional welcome in a luxurious setting.

This role involves upselling, maintaining spotless areas, assisting with breakfast service, and working a rota between 7:00am and 11:00pm. If you enjoy hospitality and great teamwork, Ragdale Hall offers benefits, staff meals, and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
• Confident, friendly communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• A sharp eye for detail and a proactive attitude
• The ability to stay calm, professional, and composed during busy service periods
• Previous experience in a café, bar, or hospitality environment desirable – training provided if needed

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, professional welcome to all guests and deliver attentive, high-quality service
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and process card or cash payments with care
• Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, smoothies, and barista-style coffees
• Confidently respond to guest queries and ensure individual needs and special requests are met
• Keep the café lounge and bar areas spotless, well-presented, and inviting at all times
• Regularly replenish snack stations and follow correct procedures for stock rotation and control
• Assist with breakfast service, cake displays, loyalty events, and other special service moments
• Adhere to all hygiene, health and safety standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Actively promote and upsell products, offers, and promotions to enhance the guest experience
• Work collaboratively with your team to create a positive, supportive, and enjoyable workplace

Ragdale Hall Spa is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Café Lounge Assistant to join our exceptional team in the stunning Verandah Bar and Garden Room. As a Café Lounge Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our guest experience, delivering warm, professional service that reflects our commitment to excellence. Your role is vital in ensuring each visit to our café lounge is seamless, relaxing, and memorable.

Main Duties:

• Provide a warm, professional welcome to all guests and deliver attentive, high-quality service.

We are recruiting for 2 positions:

• 31 hours per week


• 9 hours per week

These roles are worked on a rota between the hours of 7.00am and 11.00pm, including some weekends.
