Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment Ltd is seeking Class 1 drivers for our client in Leeds who manufactures and distributes cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates.

You will drive Class 1 (with occasional Class 2) vehicles, with training for tipper duties where needed. Immediate starts, weekly pay, and overtime on Saturdays are available; safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence held for 12+ months.
• UK DCPC card and Digi-tacho card holders required.
• Endorsements: up to 6 points; DD/TT/DR/CD/IN not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 (and occasional Class 2) vehicles safely.
• Perform tipper work; training provided if required.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and keep cab and trailer clean.

Job description

Job Title: Class 1 Tipper Driver (occassional Class 2 driving required - paid at the same rate)

(Holiday Pay: £1.94 per hour if paid on top (£18.06ph total if requested))

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (06:30 start times)

Overtime: Occassional Saturdays

Assessment: Yes - required before start

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
