Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment is seeking Class 2 Drivers in Halifax to operate cement mixer vehicles for a client involved in cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates. The role requires 12 months of Class 2 experience and a valid UK DCPC and Digi-tacho card.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 06:00 starts, with competitive pay and weekly pay cycles. Overtime opportunities and on-site facilities are available; visa or relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 2 Driving Licence.
• DCPC card and Digi-tacho card required.
• UK residency and clean driving licence with up to 6 points may be considered; DD/TT/DR/CD/IN not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles with cement mixer equipment.
• Perform mixer work as required (training provided).
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and keep cab/trailer clean.
• Ensure loads are secured and paperwork is completed accurately.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Operating HGV Class 2 vehicles
• Performing mixer work (training provided if required)
• Routine vehicle checks and maintaining trailer and cab cleanliness
• Ensuring all loads are placed and secured correctly
• Completing daily paperwork accurately

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially.You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift.We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
