Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment Ltd is seeking professional Class 1 drivers for roles with our cement and aggregates client. You will operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, perform tipper work with training provided, and ensure loads are safely secured and checked.

Applicants must have a valid Class 1 licence, DCPC card, Digi-Tacho card, and at least 12 months of commercial driving experience. UK residency, WTD compliance, and ability to travel to the Halkyn/Holywell site are required.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving experience with CPC and Digi-Tacho card.
• UK resident with valid DCPC and Digi-Tacho.
• Endorsements: up to 6 points allowed; DD, TT, DR, CD, IN not accepted.
• Professional driver up-to-date with WTD regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport cement, ready-mix concrete, and aggregates.
• Perform tipper work (training provided if required) and follow site safety procedures.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and maintain trailer and cab cleanliness.
• Ensure loads are placed and secured correctly.
• Travel to and from the site for shifts as required.

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 1 Drivers in Halkyn/Holywell to work with our client, who manufactures and distributes cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates.

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial and MPQC card required, or willingness to obtain one (can be arranged after assessment).

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
