Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment Ltd is seeking Class 1 Tipper Drivers for client sites in the Braintree area. The role involves operating HGV Class 1 vehicles, performing tipper work, and maintaining vehicle standards. Immediate starts and regular pay cycles are available for qualified candidates.

Applicants should have a Class 1 licence, DCPC and Digi-tacho, with at least 12 months of relevant experience. UK residency and site travel are required; MPQC card is advantageous or obtainable after

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence held for commercial use.

• WTD regulations knowledge expected.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles.
• Perform tipper work (training provided).
• Complete daily vehicle checks and keep cab/trailer clean.
• Ensure loads are placed and secured correctly.
• Complete daily paperwork accurately and safely.

Pay Rate: £16.82 to £18.95 per hour + £35 O/t bonus payment

Working Hours:Monday to Friday (06:30 start times)

Experience:12 months Class 1 essential

Assessment:Yes - required before start

Class 1 Tipper Driver - role & Responsibilities

• Operating HGV Class 1 vehicles
• Performing tipperwork (training provided if required)
• Routine vehicle checks and maintaining trailer and cab cleanliness
• Ensuring all loads are placed and secured correctly
• Completing daily paperwork accuratelyAll applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not acceptDD, TT, DR, CD, INendorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial andMPQC card required, or willingness to obtain one (can be arranged after assessment).

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
