Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment is seeking Class 1 drivers for Lincoln. You will operate HGV Class 1 and occasional Class 2 vehicles, performing tipper work with training provided. Ensure loads are secured and perform routine vehicle checks while maintaining safety standards.

Applicants should have a Class 1 licence with 12 months commercial driving experience, a valid DCPC and Digi-tacho card. UK residency, no visa sponsorship offered, and 6-point maximum on license.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence with at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card are required.
• Six points max; DD, TT, DR, CD, IN not accepted.
• Knowledge of Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations is expected.
• Experience with cement/aggregates is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 and occasional Class 2 vehicles.
• Perform tipper work; training provided if required.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and keep cab/trailer clean.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and within regulations.

Job description

Job Title: Class 1 Tipper Driver (also operating Class 2 vehicles from time to time - pay remains the same)

Location: Lincoln

Pay Rate: £15.97 to £20.59 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (06:00 start times)

Overtime: Occassional Saturdays when required

Assessment: Yes - required before start

Employee Benefits:

Competitive Salary: £15.97 to £20.59 per hour

Mon-Fri £15.97 (Holiday Pay: £1.92 per hour if paid on top (£17.89 total if requested))

Weekends £18.54 (Holiday Pay: £2.05 per hour if paid on top (£20.59 total if requested))

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
