Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to operate cement mixer vehicles in Halifax. Start times are early and shifts run Monday to Friday with weekly pay and opportunities for overtime.

You must hold a Class 2 licence, UK DCPC, Digi-tacho and have at least 12 months of commercial driving experience. Training for mixer work is provided and safety procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• Must have Class 2 licence and at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card required.
• Knowledge of WTD regulations is expected for professional drivers.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles and perform mixer work (training provided if needed).
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and maintain cab and trailer cleanliness.
• Ensure loads are placed and secured correctly and comply with safety procedures.

Job Title: Class 2 Driver - Cement Mixer vehicle (work requires mixer work)

Pay Rate: £15.97 to £17.89 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (06:00 start times)

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Drivers in Halifax to work with our client, who manufactures and distributes cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates.

Employee Benefits:

Competitive Salary: £15.97 to £17.89 per hour

(Holiday Pay: £1.92 per hour if paid on top (£17.89 total if requested))

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
