Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment is seeking a Class 1 Driver in Halkyn/Holywell to operate HGV Class 1 vehicles for cement, aggregates and related loads. The role requires a valid Class 1 licence, 12 months commercial driving experience, DCPC, and a Digi-tacho. Training is provided for tipper work as needed.

You will work Monday to Friday with early start times, occasional Saturday overtime, and weekly pay. Company benefits include paid holiday uplift and a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.
• Up to 6 points on licence accepted; DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements not accepted.
• Staff must be up to date with Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations.
• Experience with cement/aggregates is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport loads.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and maintain trailer and cab cleanliness.
• Ensure loads are placed and secured correctly and safely.
• Travel to and from the site for each shift; follow site safety procedures.

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 1 Drivers in Halkyn/Holywell to work with our client, who manufactures and distributes cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates.

Employee Benefits:

Competitive Salary: £15.97 per hour

(Holiday Pay: £1.92 per hour if paid on top (£17.89 total if requested))

About you:

Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
