Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is recruiting for a Class 1 HGV Shunter role for a client based in Runcorn, UK. You will move trailers safely, couple/uncouple, and perform checks to ensure accurate dispatch across a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour night shift (19:00–07:00).

A CE licence with at least 1 year of experience is required, along with verifiable references and a clean driving record with minimal points. Prior Terberg shunt experience is preferred; willingness to provide references is essential

Qualifications

In this role, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers across the site, supporting both production and distribution operations.

This is a full-time role based on a

4 on 4 off shift pattern, with

12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Responsibilities:

• Coupling and uncoupling trailers using Terberg shunt units.
• Completing trailer checks, including keg counts, trailer census at shift start and configuration sheets to ensure accuracy before dispatch.

Requirements:

Valid CE licence with 1

year experience

for insurance purposes.

Maximum 6 points for minor offences.

• Previous experience of shunting operations using a Terberg shunt unit.
• Verifiable references.
