Job summary

Job Advert in Ellesmere Port is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers to work as Shunters on a 4 on 4 off rota with 17:00 starts. This ongoing role offers pay rates from £19.94/h weekdays to £28.29/h on weekends and overtime.

You will shunt trailers, perform daily checks, and ensure safety and paperwork compliance. A CPC, tachograph card, and 12 months’ experience are required, with no more than 9 points.

Qualifications

• Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 9 penalty points.
• No DD, DR, IN or TT endorsements.
• Terberg experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Shunting trailers around the yard using Terberg units or tractor units.
• Moving a variety of trailer types including double-deck, curtainsider and box trailers.
• Working in line with site paperwork and compliance procedures.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism at all times.

We are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work as Shunters for our client based in Ellesmere Port. This is an ongoing opportunity working a 4 on 4 off rota with 17:00 starts.

Pay Rates (PAYE Including Holiday Pay)

• £19.94 per hour - Monday to Friday
• £24.93 per hour - Overtime Monday to Friday
• £22.63 per hour - Weekends
• £28.29 per hour - Overtime Weekends
