Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 Shunter to join our client in Lutterworth. The role requires maintaining yard order, positioning trailers, and performing basic vehicle checks in a fast-paced distribution center.

You will operate 12-hour shifts on a 4 on, 4 off cycle, with pay rates from £20.56 to £25.87 per hour. UK licence with C+E, CPC, tachograph, and Terberg experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence with at least 6 months Terberg experience.
• Current UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• Up to 6 points on licence; no DD/DR/CD/TT/IN endorsements.

Class 1 Shunter - the role & responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough vehicle checks
• Move & position vehicles around the yard
• Coupling & uncoupling trailers
• Some minor vehicle maintenance

What You Need:

• A valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence with at least 6 months Tergberg experience
• A current UK Driver CPC (DCPC) card and a valid Digital Tachograph card
• Up to 6 points accepted on licence (No DD, DR, CD, TT, IN endorsements)
