Job summary
BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project at the initial design phase. You will coordinate cross-discipline rail systems interfaces, lead design coordination meetings, and ensure compliance with client requirements, standards and milestones.
Based in London or Birmingham, you will manage multidisciplinary teams, drive safety and system safety coordination, and deliver robust design solutions across a major rail programme with a
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in rail systems design and integration.
- Experience in alliance delivery environments is preferred.
- Experience managing external design organisations and consultant teams.
- Strong understanding of design management processes in major rail projects.
- Knowledge of safety and system engineering principles.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate design interfaces between track systems, contractors and alliance members.
- Lead spatial coordination and design governance across the Rail Systems programme.
- Facilitate design coordination meetings and reviews with stakeholders.
- Monitor progress and ensure delivery per client requirements and milestones.
- Coordinate safety and health (H&S) in design activities and CDM processes.
