Job description

The Spa Attendant is responsible of the cleanliness and sanitisation, handling of the preparation and cleaning duties of spa and fitness centre. They are also required to orientate guests to the spa facilities, greeting guests as they enter the facilities and providing personal guest service. They are responsible for keeping the lounge, locker and other guest areas neat, clean and stocked with all amenities.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintains Complete Knowledge of

  • All spa features/services.
  • All wet and dry areas.
  • All fitness centre facilities/features.

Performs Daily, Weekly and Monthly Cleaning and Maintenance as per Checklist

  • Greets each guest with a warm welcome and fond farewell.
  • Accommodates all guest requests expediently and courteously.
  • Responsible for linen, towel and guest amenities supply and stocking
  • Must performs the daily task schedule in the checklist.
  • Sweeps and mops floors.
  • Vacuum floorings.
  • Cleans entrance doors daily to include door frames and tracks.
  • Brushes upholstery on furniture, and straighten.
  • High and low dusting daily. Cleans all countertops including retail area.
  • Cleans and polishes all glass and mirrors, planters, signs, wall light fixtures.
  • Cleans and polishes reception counters. Empties trash and replaces all liners.
  • Refills all restroom supplies. Cleans toilets, toilets seats, urinals, and sinks. Cleans all sinks and counters.
  • Cleans entire shower area with disinfectant cleaner. Wipes down walls of steam room, mops steam room floor with disinfectant, and cleans door to steam room.
  • Sweeps and damps mop restroom floor with disinfectant cleaner. Empty waste baskets and sanitary napkin holders.
  • Cleans spots and fingerprints, marks or graffiti from walls, stalls partitions, glass, aluminium and switches.
  • Scrubs floors as needed.

Cleans and Maintains the Treatment Rooms and Fitness Centre

  • Sweeps and damps mop tile floors daily with disinfectant cleaner. Vacuums treatment rooms daily.
  • Empties all trash and replaces liners nightly.

Linen/Lounge Responsibilities

  • Assists in retrieving, folding and stocking linen in both lounges and storage areas.
  • Sets up water stations before first spa guest arrives.

Health and Safety

  • Maintains the overall spa to the Health and Safety standards.
  • Reports any electrical faults and visibly unsightly defects that do not fulfil the checklist in your assigned treatment room, using the Repair and Maintenance Request Form.
  • Discharges professional treatment room setting, care for equipment and maintains the overall treatment room sanitation.
  • Sets the general area professionally before spa opening of the spa in accordance to Standard Operating Procedure provided.
  • Ensures the general area of the fitness centre is in accordance to Standard Operating Procedure provided.

General Housekeeping

  • Applies spa housekeeping/presentation checklist.
  • Ensures that the towel and linen in the changing area/washroom is adequately replenished for the day and stored as per Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Ensures the general cleanliness of the lounge, pantry, corridor and changing room/washroom.
Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in spa industry.
  • Has experience in customer service, hospitality or the spa industry.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to converse in English.
  • Ability to contribute and work effectively in a team.
  • Able to withstand physically heavy duties.
  • Has good guest relations.
