Job summary

Barratt Developments plc is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team in a site-based role. You will manage costs, update final cost estimates and support valuations, ensuring value and compliance with Group policies.

You will lead cost control, prepare reports, and collaborate with subcontractors and internal teams to keep projects on budget. Hybrid working follows our flexible approach across offices, sites and home.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required.
• Strong numeracy and data interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of cost control procedures and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control procedures and manage site budgets.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and project cost reports and valuations.
• Lead value engineering to achieve best value within budget.
• Procure sub-contractors and materials in line with Group procedures.
• Analyse costs and cash flow using group systems (COINS) where applicable.
• Collaborate with site teams to maximise productivity and meet targets.
