Job summary

Barratt Developments plc is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join our North East team. You will manage site costs, budgets and valuations, ensuring compliance with group policies while optimising value and cost efficiency.

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will prepare tenders, oversee subcontractor processes and provide accurate cost reporting to support decision making on live sites.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HND level or higher with a valid CSCS card.
• Strong numeracy and data interpretation skills.
• Experience in cost control, budgeting and VAT/valuation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control procedures and report on budgets and final costs.
• Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly cost reports.
• Prepare tenders and procure sub-contractors and materials.
• Manage sub-contractor payments and variations in line with policy.
