Job summary

Baily Garner LLP in Eltham is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who will take on Project Team Leader responsibilities within a multi-disciplinary cost consultancy and employer’s agent group. The role involves delivering schemes, managing programming and coordinating a professional team across diverse projects.

The ideal candidate has construction consultancy experience, design and build contract knowledge (JCT/NEC), and a relevant RICS-accredited degree.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction consultancy and Employers Agent roles.
• RICS accredited degree or equivalent QS/Cost Management.
• Experience with design and build forms including JCT/NEC contracts.
• Residential experience plus other project types.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Excel and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Client liaison, present schemes, manage project programming and address service delivery matters.
• Act as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent.
• Appoint and manage the Professional Team.
• Prepare and present initial appraisals and feasibility reports.
• Prepare contract documents and tendering procedures.
• Delegate duties while retaining overall responsibility for project success.
• Prepare budget estimates, cost plans, tender documentation and contract arrangements.
• Formulate briefs, fee proposals, and present schemes or services.
• Prepare tendering documents and recommendations for interim payments and final accounts.
• Lead a project team.
