Job summary

Elite Hire is working with a regional main contractor/consultancy to deliver residential, commercial and infrastructure projects across the region. They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage costs and keep projects commercially on track.

You will prepare cost plans, estimates and bills of quantities, procure subcontractor packages, value work on site, produce CVRs and forecasts, and manage variations and contractual notices. Strong Excel and contract knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar.
• 3+ years as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Good working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC3/4 contracts.
• Strong Excel and measurement skills.
• Confident negotiating with subcontractors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, estimates and bills of quantities
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages
• Value work on site, prepare interim applications and agree final accounts
• Produce monthly cost/value reconciliations (CVRs) and forecasts
• Manage variations, change control and contractual notices
• Advise project teams on commercial risks and opportunities
