Job summary

Barratt Developments plc is seeking a Site Quantity Surveyor to manage costs on active sites, reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager. You will control budgets and valuations, update final costs, and ensure compliance with Group policies.

You will lead cost control, provide regular reports, and support value engineering to deliver best value. Experience with cost reporting, subcontractor management, and COINS group systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HND level or higher with a valid CSCS card.
• Must understand current market conditions and rates.
• Strong numeracy with attention to detail for budgets and valuations.
• Ability to gather, interpret and present data for budgets/valuations.
• Strong IT and project management/payment/valuation software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control procedures and manage budget/valuations.
• Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
• Cost control for all trades and provisions; update estimated final costs.
• Lead value engineering to achieve best value.
• Prepare tenders and procure sub-contractors and materials.
• Process subcontract orders, payments and variations per policy.
