Quantity Surveyor Role :

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-driven Junior / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team on high-end residential projects. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with up to 3 years’ industry experience, including placements or work on high-spec residential schemes. You will work closely with a Senior QS, gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing commercial aspects across one or two projects
• Managing subcontractor accounts, including procurement, valuations, payments and final accounts
• Preparation, assessment, and negotiation of variations
• Cost reporting and forecasting to ensure accurate project financials
• Contribute to tendering processes and documentation
• Maintain accurate records, measurement, and project documentation
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to support commercial delivery
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and assist with valuations

Required Experience & Qualifications for the Quantity Surveyor :

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• Minimum of 5-6 experience, including industrial placement, within high-end residential construction
• Understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and commercial processes
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
• Proficient with MS Excel and relevant QS software
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn under guidance of a Senior QS
