Quantity Surveyor

Location: Hybrid - London/South East

Overview

Our client is a specialist façade contractor delivering cladding and re-cladding schemes across the residential and commercial markets. Due to sustained growth and a strong forward order book, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role will work across multiple live schemes in the £1m - £10m range, offering hybrid flexibility and long‑term progression within a high‑performing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial management of live façade and cladding contracts
• Full cost control of projects from tender stage to final account
• Preparation of valuations, CVRs, forecast and cashflow reporting
• Procurement and management of subcontract packages
• Measurement, BOQs and pricing of variations
• Interface with site teams, PMs and Directors to ensure commercial compliance
• Liaison with main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensuring projects remain within budget and profit margins are achieved
• Contract administration - JCT

Experience Required

• Proven experience as a QS within façades, cladding or building envelope
• Able to manage commercial aspects across multiple concurrent projects
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Experience with packages ranging £1m - £10m
• Good working knowledge of JCT contracts
• Able to produce clear commercial reports and forecasts
• Strong attention to detail and financial control

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (preferred)
• Membership or working towards RICS/MCIOB beneficial but not essential
