We are a specialist fire sprinkler design and installation company based in Weymouth, Dorset, committed to delivering high-quality fire protection solutions across residential, commercial sectors. With continued growth and a strong project pipeline, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

The Role

As our in-house Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of fire sprinkler installation projects from tender stage through to completion. You will work closely with our design, project management, and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered on budget, on time, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender submissions
  • Managing project budgets, cost control, and financial forecasting
  • Evaluating and negotiating contracts, variations, and claims
  • Conducting site surveys and progress valuations
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting on financial performance
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of our commercial processes
About You
  • Experienced QS with a proven track record within construction, M&E, or fire protection (fire sprinkler experience desirable but not essential)
  • Strong understanding of contract law, NEC/JCT contracts, and project cost control
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial awarenessAbility to work both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience)
