Job description

Whitebridge is looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join a programme for our energy client. We are happy to consider PhD students looking for part time work as well as those seeking Full time engagement.

Experience required
  • Programming: High proficiency in core languages such as Python and SQL, as well as nice to haves including C#, .NET, C++ or otherwise
  • Development: Nice to have, familiarity with tools like Visual Studio and Azure DevOps a plus, but a general exposure to a development workflow
  • Quantitative: Expertise in some of the following, statistical analysis, time-series analysis, signal processing, portfolio theory, optimisation, machine learning/AI
  • Field/Specialty: Mathematics, Physics, Math Finance, Computer Science (or similar with a strong quantitative focus)
  • Systematic strategies: Nice to have some understanding of Systematic Trading, Strategies for signal generation and automated trading
  • Trading/Finance: Nice to have, some understanding of financial markets, risk management and trading tick data
  • Commodities: Nice to have, some understanding of Commodity markets in particular Energy, and topics such as intertemporal choice in Energy (storage, carry, dispatch)

The successful applicant should be able to commit to starting ASAP. The role will be hybrid with up to 2 days per week in the office. The role will be umbrella based working. Direct applicants only please.
