Job Description:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as QA MRB (Material Review Board) Delegates
  • Perform final inspections of precision machined components using various inspection methods (including CMM, Micrometers, Gauges, etc.)
  • Provide feedback on the inspection process to Quality Technicians and Quality Engineers
  • Review work instructions for completeness
  • Perform in-process inspections to support manufacturing (e.g., hole check or on-machine runout check)
  • Participate in problem-solving events as requested
  • Reject defective parts, as required
  • Note discrepant conditions of products according to reporting standards
  • Process quality records per procedures to maintain accountability, acceptance, and status
  • Maintain personal and equipment certifications, as required
  • Work safely within the site Health and Safety management system
  • Assist colleagues by sharing information and answering questions
  • Contact team leader/supervisor when assistance is needed
  • Consult with management or others on process or job-related issues
  • Collaborate as part of a team, providing and receiving feedback, assisting with tasks, and training others

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, regulated environment with good time management
  • Conscientious with attention to detail
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Experience as a Quality Inspector or with inspection equipment and processes
  • Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings

Preferred Qualifications:

Apprentice trained or equivalent experience in a precision machined engineering environment

Education/Experience:

BTEC / HNC in Mechanical Engineering

Shift:

Initially day shift for training, then rotating morning/afternoon shifts

Legal authorization to work in the UK required. No sponsorship provided.
