Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Tamworth is seeking a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer to execute inspections of precision components in compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, ISO9001, and CMM programming. This full-time position offers a salary of £35,360 per year, negotiable based on experience, and involves working within an inspection department with a fixed 5-day work schedule.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within AS9100, ISO9001 & ISO17025 standards.
  • Ability to perform inspections and ensure quality.
  • Knowledge of First Article Reporting methods in aerospace and automotive.

Responsibilities

  • Perform first off, in process and final inspections.
  • Interact with manufacturing personnel for quality control.
  • Maintain route card completion and documentation.

Job description

Infinity Employment is looking for a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer for an industry leading specialist, manufacturing precision components for aviation, tooling, automotive, F1 and defence industries. This role is based within the inspection department. The objective of the role is to perform first off, in process and final inspections of all manufactured position components to ensure they meet the needs of the customer. Reporting to the Quality Manager.

5-day pattern

08:00hrs to 17:00hrs Monday to Thursday

08:00 to 14:30 Friday

Salary £35,360 per year (Open for negotiation for the relevant experience)

Responsibilities
  • Working within the AS9100, ISO9001 & ISO17025 standards
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and inspect to those requirements.
  • Programming and Use of Coordinate Measuring Machines (QCT and Mitutoyo software).
  • Programming, Evaluation and Operation of a Gear Measuring Machine.
  • Use of general measuring equipment including micrometers, surface testers, and contour tracers.
  • Maintaining route card completion.
  • Interactions with Manufacturing Personnel.
  • Working within a team of quality related personnel.
  • Working with First Article Reporting methods (Aerospace and Automotive).
  • Ability to operate & communicate within all functions and levels within the business.
