Qualifications

  • Proven experience as Quality Engineer in a regulated Manufacturing environment.
  • Apprentice trained and/or Qualified in Engineering discipline.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day quality management activities across programmes and projects.
  • Maintain and implement Project Quality Plans and Quality Systems.
  • Conduct supplier inspections and audits.
  • Manage non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Capture, analyse and report quality metrics.
  • Ensure compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Job description

This role supports complex client programmes by providing robust quality management and control across multi-disciplinary project teams. The Quality Engineer ensures compliance with contractual and regulatory quality requirements, embedding right-first-time delivery, effective assurance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing, inspection, audit and supply-chain activities throughout the full project lifecycle.

Who This Role Would Suit

This role would suit a proactive Quality Engineer with experience in regulated project environments who enjoys working collaboratively across teams and supply chains. It is ideal for someone who is detail‑driven, confident challenging non‑conformances, and motivated by improving quality performance while operating within safety‑critical industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver day‑to‑day quality management activities across programmes and projects
  • Maintain and implement Project Quality Plans, Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs) and Quality Systems.
  • Conduct supplier and site surveillance, inspections and audits
  • Manage non-conformances (NCRs), root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective & preventative actions (CAPAs).
  • Capture, analyse and report quality metrics and performance data
  • Ensure compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 3834, and EN 10204.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as Quality Engineer in a regulated Manufacturing environment
  • Apprentice trained and/or Qualified in Engineering discipline.
  • CSWIP 3.1 and PCN certificates are desirable but not essential
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK

Location – Leyland

Permanent - £37k - £45k (dependent on experience)

Full Time – 0730-1600 (Mon-Thurs), 0730-1230 (Fri) - 37 hours + Overtime
