An international automotive component manufacturer in East Midlands is seeking an ambitious Quality Engineer to enhance quality standards. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years’ experience in quality assurance within automotive manufacturing and a degree in engineering. You will collaborate cross-departmentally, employ quality improvement tools, and contribute to developing new quality standards. It is essential that you have at least 3 years' experience within an automotive manufacturing environment within a Quality Assurance Engineering role ss, and additional exposure to injection moulding would be a huge advantage. You will need to be degree educated in an engineering discipline and hold exacting standards when it comes to quality. As Quality Engineer, you will have the positive mindset of wanting to raise the bar at every opportunity as to what sustained quality excellence looks like. You will employ a lean mindset, understand cost improvement initiatives and enjoy the creativity to develop new ideas and standards. As you will be working inter-departmentally, and liaising with a number of stakeholders,acerbe an natural communicator, engaging, professional and pro-active.
As Quality Engineer you will demonstrate strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice relevant to the injection moulding or polymer industry as wellas being highly customer oriented and service minded. You will have a strong technical and analytical mind, capable of analysing data to support the development of strategies to manage action plans, identify problems and initiate corrective and preventative actions. Additionally, you will have used Quality Tools, such as benchmarking, gap analysis, Pareto Analysis, Fishbone diagrams and process mapping for fact-based decision making, introducing experience of FMEA, Control Plan and PPAP.
