Quality Auditor - Food Manufacturing

Sunday to Thursday | Hands-On Role | Temporary to Permanent

📍 Bourne, Lincolnshire

💷 £13.59 - £14.59 per hour (DOE)

Gi Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business in Bourne. We are looking for a Quality Auditor to join a supportive and experienced QA team within a busy production environment.

This is a practical, hands‑on QA role, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the factory floor, working closely with Production, and playing an active part in maintaining food safety, quality and compliance standards.

Shift Pattern

• Sunday to Thursday
• Sunday is essential, with flexibility on remaining days

The Role

As a Quality Auditor, you will support quality and food safety standards across intake, production and finished goods. You will work closely with Line Leaders, Production and the wider Technical team to ensure standards are maintained consistently throughout the site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out routine quality, hygiene and GMP checks across production and intake areas
• Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
• Monitoring products, processes and documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Supporting HACCP, Health & Safety and regulatory requirements
• Completing traceability and mass balance exercises
• Investigating quality issues and supporting corrective actions with Production
• Ensuring quality records are completed accurately (manual and electronic)
• Supporting internal and external audits as required
• Assisting with sampling and testing, including microbiological and environmental checks

This role offers genuine involvement in day‑to‑day quality operations, not just paperwork.

• Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Technical or Food Manufacturing (desirable)
• A good understanding of GMP and food safety standards
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work with different departments
• Comfortable working in a factory‑based environment
• Able to commit to a Sunday to Thursday shift pattern
