Overview

Position posted: 18 August 2025. Salary: Up to £28,000 per year. Job type: Full-time. Location: Onsite (work location: in person). ESSENTIAL: Food industry experience.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Operational Teams to share information and best practices to improve and achieve higher standards.
  • Ensure all Quality Management System standards are followed.
  • Label verifications and allergen checks.
  • Carry out site GMP and GHP audits according to the schedule for bakery and warehouse.
  • Conduct quality checks and document verification checks where required for bakery and warehouse operations.
  • Maintain product inspections and laboratory testing, and generation / follow up of purchase orders (POs).
  • Carry out shelf-life validation checks as required.
  • Complete and record calibration tests on monitoring equipment.
  • Provide training in aspects of food safety and quality as required, including food safety inductions.
  • Generate and close off internal and external non-conformances.
  • Be involved in pest control management, non-conformance closure, and maintaining relevant documents.
  • Perform administrative duties for document control, internal and external specifications systems and portals, labels, and reporting information such as plastic tax, palm oil, cocoa, etc.
  • Support customer complaints investigations.
  • Manage the product assessment and laboratory testing schedule.
  • Conduct traceability exercises and manage site traceability schedule.
  • Assist Technical Manager in following instructions correctly and preparing sites within the scope of responsibility for third-party audits and visits.
  • Support in closing out site non-conformances raised during third-party audits.
  • Report technical KPIs as required for monthly and quarterly meetings.
  • Undertake any other projects and tasks as requested by line manager.
  • Provide and support cover during team absences and holidays.

  • Experience with GMP, GHP audits, QA checks, calibration, and documentation control.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday to Friday, with willingness to support in third-party audit preparations and incidents.
