Prospero Teaching is on the lookout for an inspirational GCSE Maths Outreach Tutor to work 1:1 with secondary-aged learners in the Bromley area who are currently out of mainstream education. Each placement offers a unique and rewarding challenge - supporting pupils who may have experienced barriers to education including anxiety, SEND, or school refusal. You\'ll play a vital role in re-engaging them academically and emotionally, helping to rebuild their confidence through structured, engaging sessions.

This role is perfect for experienced educators with QTS or PGCE, looking to move into a more flexible, personalised teaching environment, where you can truly make a difference. You\'ll be fully supported by Prospero\'s dedicated team to ensure every student thrives.

Contract/Position Details

• Location - Bromley and surrounding areas
• Position - GCSE Maths Outreach Tutor
• Type of Work - 1:1 tuition (in-person) with disengaged learners
• Start Date - ASAP
• Duration - Ongoing, tailored to individual student needs
• Contract Type - Temporary (with consistent hours and long-term potential)
• Hours - After-school hours (flexible), 1 to 3 hours per session
• Rate of Pay - From 25 per hour (dependant on experience)
• Working Pattern - Part-time or full-time available depending on your schedule

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Must hold QTS, PGCE or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
• Minimum 6 months+ teaching experience in a UK school
• Strong subject knowledge in GCSE Maths
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training is desirable

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Have an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
• Provide two recent child-related references from the last two years
