Job description

Qualified EMHP Post (Education Mental Health Practitioner) at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in Tameside, Greater Manchester.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver CBT evidence‑based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems in education settings.
  • Help children and young people with more severe problems to access specialist services rapidly.
  • Support and facilitate staff in education settings to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.
  • Work within educational environments to improve access to specialist mental health services.
  • Assess low‑risk situations and recognise higher‑level risk, escalating appropriately to relevant services.
  • Deliver outcome‑focused interventions and develop treatment plans in partnership with children, young people, their families and educators.
  • Develop skills to support self‑management of presenting difficulties for children, young people, parents/carers, families and educators.
Qualifications
