A mental health services provider is seeking a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) in HMP Full Sutton. The service is delivered in partnership with NHS providers to offer an integrated, stepped‑care mental health service within HMP Full Sutton. The multidisciplinary team is made up of highly skilled professionals working collaboratively to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based mental health care to individuals within the prison setting.
We are seeking a qualified and accredited Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join an integrated primary care mental health team at HMP Full Sutton. You will provide high‑volume, low‑intensity psychological interventions to individuals experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and depression, in line with Step 2 IAPT guidelines. Interventions will be delivered in both 1:1 and group formats, using CBT‑based self‑management approaches. You will work as part of a wider integrated team, supporting individuals throughout their time in custody and contributing to onward care planning for release into the community.
You will also work closely with colleagues including: Associate Director for Criminal Justice and Care Navigation; Heads of Criminal Justice, Secure Care, and Care Navigation; Senior PWPs, Counsellors, Health & Wellbeing Coaches, and Care Navigators. A flexible approach is required, with willingness to provide contingency cover to other prison sites if needed.
