Job summary

A leading solar energy firm is seeking a PV Engineer / Technician to maintain and inspect solar systems across the UK. The ideal candidate will possess over 3 years of utility-scale solar PV experience and relevant electrical qualifications. This full-time role offers competitive pay ranging from £45,000 to £50,000, with additional benefits such as performance bonuses and private health cover. It's an opportunity to contribute directly to renewable energy efforts while promoting from within for those with domestic or commercial solar backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience on utility-scale Solar PV O&M projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good understanding of AC & DC systems.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance on solar PV systems.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment.
  • Produce clear site reports after visits.
  • Conduct job-specific risk assessments.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of AC & DC systems
Experience using testing tools
Full UK driving licence

Education

Level 3 City & Guilds / NVQ in Electrical Installations
C&G 2382-18
C&G 2391-52 (or equivalent)
HV AP qualification
