Job description

Due to continued growth across our operations, we’re seeking an experienced Purchasing & Logistics Officer to join our team.

In this diverse and fast-paced role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, managing inventory and stores, and organising the transport and logistics of equipment and materials to site. Working closely with our operational teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring equipment, consumables, and parts are available when and where they’re needed to keep our projects running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source, order, and track materials, consumables, and equipment for the operational teams.
  • Coordinate freight and transport logistics to ensure timely delivery to site.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing goods, including inspection, documentation, and stock control.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the inventory management system.
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Support operations by maintaining efficient stores and procurement processes.
  • Assist with inventory audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You

You’re an organised, proactive and solutions-focused individual who thrives in a busy environment. You’ll bring:

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or stores/inventory within mining, heavy industry, or equipment services.
  • Sound knowledge of supply chain and logistics coordination (including transport booking and tracking).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Current high risk work licence – Forklift
  • Current drivers licence – MR or HR (would be desirable)
  • A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and delivering quality outcomes.
