Full Time – Temporary to Permanent

Location: Derby

Hours: Monday to Thursday Office Hours / Friday early finish

Basic Salary: £28,000.00 Per Annum

Purchasing Assistant Role
  • You will be solely responsible for purchasing for the business for a range of products
  • You will raise purchase orders as a Purchasing Assistant
  • Responsible for product delivery through having a proactive approach
  • Chase purchase orders to ensure on time delivery
  • Obtain and negotiate product pricing with suppliers
  • Track and update shipments
  • Arrange imports in a timely manner including clearance and documentation
  • Collect data and create reports for senior management
  • Actively take part in meetings and proactively contribute effectively as a Purchasing Assistant
  • Act as point of contact for purchasing related queries and pricing
  • Undertake ad hoc duties as and when required
  • Provide a great professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders as a Purchasing Assistant
Purchasing Assistant Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Purchasing Assistant, or buying administrator or procurement administrator is ESSENTIAL
  • Highly confident with a resilient and go getter attitude
  • Computer literacy and report compiling is key for this role
  • Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and analytical skills
