Overview

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk

Are you a detail orientated and proactive finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are currently seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our dynamic Finance Team based in Sheffield. In this critical role, you will support the accurate and timely processing of our Accounts Payables and contribute to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process Accounts Payables in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with group requirements
  • Monitor and identify quality costs incurred by the business to support cost control and decision making
  • Input and analyse post-calculation data in the New Products sector
  • Implement and monitor robust financial controls and systems to ensure the effective use of company resources and mitigate financial risk
  • Support the Finance Manager with preparation of Month End reporting
  • Ensure suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms and best practice guidelines
  • Maintain strong internal controls related to the Purchase Ledger function, including ensuring proper use and authorisation of purchase orders and accurate invoice processing
  • Assist with the preparation of annual audits and support the Finance Manager and Business Controller throughout the audit process
About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or similar financial role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
  • A good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Excel and has experience of accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage)
  • Is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Is a team player with excellent communication skills
