Job summary

Scottish Water in Lanarkshire is looking for Network Maintenance Operators to join the Sewer response team. You will inspect drainage networks, respond to issues, and perform on-site repairs with training and provided equipment.

This is a field-based role with 35-hour weeks, overtime, and a defined-benefit pension. You’ll work in a 24/7 service, with a starting salary and career progression opportunities, and a company van provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers.
• Good communication with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to follow procedures and safety rules.
• Experience in utilities, street works, construction or plant is welcome.
• NRSWA, DOMS, HCOP, CPCS 180/360 or HGV licence helpful.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine checks and maintenance on the drainage network.
• Investigate issues reported by customers or control centre.
• Perform on-site repairs and temporary solutions to minimise disruption.
• Record work, performance and updates using mobile systems.
• Work independently and participate in a 24/7 standby rota.
