Overview

We are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to join our developing Clinical Team based at Orchard Manor School in Norfolk. In this role you will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs, implementing a holistic therapeutic approach.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out specialist individual assessments and interventions, including writing reports and maintaining relevant documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with the onsite clinical team to develop the clinical service provision and provide support and training to staff and parents.
  • Adhere to professional and regulatory guidelines, carrying out all aspects of Psychotherapy clinical duties.
  • Maintain a nurturing environment and a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring pupils are safe, comfortable and healthy.
Qualifications
  • Degree qualification in a specific discipline.
  • Registered member of HCPC, BACP, BABCP, PTUK, NCPC, UKCP or an integrative therapist/CBT-informed practitioner.
  • More than 2 years experience, not newly qualified.
  • Specialist education setting experience working therapeutically within a school/child and adolescent setting.
  • Experience of working with people with neurodivergence and/or complex needs (e.g., complex trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, mental health needs).
  • Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities.
  • Ability to work independently under agreed supervision.
  • Experience of multi-professional work teams or services within a designated speciality and evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting.
