Are you a Psychology graduate looking to take the first step into a meaningful, rewarding career in education? A warm and inclusive SEN school in Salford is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and support pupils with a range of needs including MLD, SLD, PMLD and Autism. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your understanding of behaviour, development and emotional regulation in a real-world classroom setting. You'll work closely with experienced teachers and support staff, helping to deliver personalised learning, promote independence and create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Your Role
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with diverse special educational needs
  • Assist with daily routines, sensory activities and differentiated learning tasks
  • Use your psychological insight to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Contribute to EHCP targets and personalised support plans
  • Build trusting relationships and encourage confidence, communication and engagement
  • Work collaboratively within a strong, supportive SEN team
What We're Looking For
  • A recent Psychology graduate (or related field)
  • Passion for working with children and young people with additional needs
  • Resilience, patience and a nurturing, empathetic approach
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a difference
  • Experience with SEN (desirable but not essential - full training provided)
