Overview

Psychology Graduate - Teaching Assistant in Southampton. Academics are currently looking for flexible and enthusiastic psychology graduates for full-time teaching assistant roles in several schools in Southampton and surrounding areas. These rewarding and varied full-time psychology graduate teaching assistant roles are available to start immediately.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils in primary and secondary settings as a teaching assistant.
  • Assist with classroom activities and pupil needs, under the direction of teaching staff.
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment and provide general support as required.
Qualifications
  • Hold a recent psychology degree.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Previous experience working with children is not essential; however, experience in dance, drama, sports, youth work or arts, and experience supporting children or adults with SEN, would be advantageous.
  • Roles are available in both primary and secondary settings in Southampton.
  • These roles are suitable for individuals who are keen to undertake teacher training in the future (e.g., a PGCE or Teach First) and are looking for teaching assistant experience over the next academic year.
