Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading specialist manufacturing company who are looking for a Prototype Operations Leader.

The company design and manufacture large scale automotive products and are at the forefront of their industry with a focus on renewable technology.

Working throughout the prototype phase of product development and into aftermarket, this role will be to manage both people and the process.

Responsibilities

• Delivering on the prototype development of component and system level prototypes
• Managing a team of multi‑skilled technicians in the build and maintenance of prototypes
• Managing the prototype process ensuring all data, modifications and product change requests are fully electronically documented
• Managing prototyping delivery to ensure this links fully to the overall development project plans
• Building and maintaining relationships with external providers and suppliers

Qualifications

• Experience of developing prototypes within product development
• A strong technical engineering design background
• Experience of working in a manufacturing technical engineering environment
• Experience of leading, managing and influencing others
• A sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles
• Experience of working in the automotive or similar sector
